Veterans History Project
The Veterans History Project of the American Folklife Center collects, preserves, and makes accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war. A participant may be a veteran, an interviewer, or person donating a veteran’s collection (learn more about what we collect). Students in the 10th grade and above may also participate and there are special resources for educators and students. The students at Metanzas High School in Palm Coast will work with DAV Chapter 86 to make a video interview of willing Veterans from all services. They will use the Form from the Library of Congress website. To participate please contact DAV Chapter 86 headquarters at 386-439-2122 or email info@DAVChapter86.org with the subject: “Veterans History”.
